On the day, you will have 6 SCE questions in an hour, each composed of 3 minutes reading time followed by 7 minutes of examination.
Jenny Brookes and Jo Dagleish (examiners from Eastern Health) along with Fergus Kerr and Victor Lee (Austin Health) have created the following videos to show both what to expect in a SCE as well as examples of both good and not so good performances. These demonstration videos are examples only and do not cover the spectrum of characteristics seen in either a borderline or a very good long case performance. They are meant as a guide to candidates and would be of most use if employed in conjunction with tutors / examiners and DEMTs’ advice and comments regarding performance. We have also provided the actual marking paper so you can see what the examiners expect from a candidate. Please use it to mark the candidates yourself.
EDteaching would like to thank all involved for their time, effort and commitment to open access education.

Educators who have contributed can click here for access to past SCEs complete with props. There's no point in just reading SCEs, there's only point in actually doing them, that's why trainees dont get access.
